Who makes Somniary
Somniary is made by a small team of friends in Prague. We come from different fields, and we share two interests that do not often meet. One is the psychology of dreams, from Jung to modern sleep science. The other is what today's AI can honestly do with it.
Somniary is edited by Gabriela Kurkova, who builds AI applications and websites for the joy of it. She edits every page of the dream library, standing on 165 named sources, and the friends behind the page read the drafts, argue about Jung, and keep the science honest. They stay unnamed because this site is not about us.
What we promise
We are not clinicians and we do not pretend to be. What we promise instead: every claim on this site traces back to a named source, every interpretation is offered as a lens and never as a verdict, and where science has no consensus, we say so plainly. That last part matters most to us. Nobody knows for certain why we dream, and a site about dreams that hides this is selling certainty it does not have.
You can check how we work on our approach page, and every source we cite on the sources page. The interpreter itself follows the same rules: it reads your dream through several lenses, from Jungian psychology to current sleep research, and tells you where each one comes from.
Your dreams stay yours
Somniary is built and run in the EU, so European privacy law applies to everything we do. Your dreams are not sold and no advertising profile is built from them, and payments are handled by Stripe, so your card details never touch our servers. The full picture is on the security and ethics page and in the privacy policy.
If you work with dreams professionally
Somniary does not diagnose and does not replace therapy. When a dream points to real distress, the interpreter says so and points to professional help, not to a symbol table. If you are a therapist, researcher, or teacher: the method is documented on our approach page, every claim traces to the 165 named sources on the sources page, and members can bring a report built from their own dream journal to a session. If you find anything misattributed or out of date, we want to hear about it.
If you find a mistake
Write to us at the contact page. We correct things, and we say when we have. Corrections are listed on the page they belong to, not buried.

Read your dream
Write your dream. Somniary will read it as a complete story, not a list of symbols, drawing on Jung, neuroscience, and 5,000 years of dream scholarship.
